| The LTF13 bogie first went into service
in 1991 and has proved to be a reliable suspension system delivering
what it promises.
The LTF13 is an innovative hydraulically damped bogie with
a low unsprung mass and controlled wheelset steering which
minimises track damage. The bogie features a stiff undamped
primary suspension and a soft secondary suspension with vertical
and lateral hydraulic damping.
The LTF13 is one of Axiom Rail's track friendly bogies, rated
by the Office of Rail Regulation as a category six suspension,
which attracts a track access discount compared to conventional
type bogies.
