Performance improvements for rolling stock through new Axiom Rail & BMT Rail strategic alliance

A new strategic alliance has been formed between Axiom Rail and BMT Rail Ltd, a subsidiary of BMT Ltd, to deliver performance improvements to passenger rolling stock.

Through the alliance, both companies will use their expertise to deliver on-time value-added packages for rolling stock maintenance, refurbishment and modifications, with the objective of improving customer's fleet performance through the use of best practice and innovative new techniques.

Axiom Rail is a trading brand for the supply of rolling stock services through maintenance, refurbishment, leasing and suspension systems. It is currently conducting C6- maintenance on behalf of Angel Trains for units operated by Arriva Trains Wales and is also implementing reliability improvements along with major examinations for Porterbrook on Class 90 locomotives operated by 'one'.

BMT delivers quantifiable improvements to its clients' business performance in terms of reduced risk and improved availability, safety and cost-effectiveness. This is done through the use of a comprehensive range of complementary tools, techniques, services and support processes applied to railway equipment, systems, infrastructure as well as management and business processes.

Through the new strategic alliance, Axiom Rail and BMT are able to combine both their area of expertise to provide passenger rolling stock providers and operators with productivity improvements that are delivered on time.
