Axiom Rail wins first suspension systems contract from VTG

Axiom Rail, the new trading brand for the supply of rolling stock
services through maintenance, refurbishment, leasing and suspension
systems, has won its first major contract for suspension systems.

VTG, the European private sector lessor of specialised wagons, has
ordered 120 of Axiom Rail's TF25 suspension bogies.

The track-friendly bogies will be fitted to VTG's new tank wagons,
which are planned for operation in the UK. The first suspension
systems will be delivered to VTG during spring 2006.

John Jagger, Managing Director, VTG Rail UK Ltd, said "We are
delighted to award this contract to Axiom Rail. Fitting our new build
wagons with the TF25 bogie will allow our wagons to operate with low track forces and low bogie wear, resulting in both reduced track access and maintenance expenses. This will help us, as a leading provider of specialised rail and tank container services, to enhance our competitive edge
."

Derek Parker, UK & Nordic Sales Manager for Axiom Rail, said "This order represents the first major new suspension system contract for Axiom Rail and we are delighted that VTG have chosen the TF25 bogie for their new tank wagons. The unique design of the TF25 bogie will provide VTG with a cost-effective wagon."

Axiom Rail is a supplier of innovative, adaptable rail freight bogies
and suspension systems that operate throughout the UK and Nordic
regions, and make rail freight more efficient, economical, safe and
enhance its environmental credentials.

The Axiom Rail product range includes the TF25, LTF13 and AMIII
bogies, as well as the TS25SA and Unitruck single axle suspensions.
The suspension systems are able to meet axle loads of up to a maximum of 30 tonnes and speeds of up to 160 kph. A full after sales service is provided, including the supply of spares, maintenance and technical support.
